Look, let's be honest, Pearl Abyss is gearing up to launch the test server for the brand new 'Fortress Siege' in its mobile flagship, Black Desert Mobile, on September 1.

The developer explains that this 'Fortress Siege' is basically a revamped version of the old node wars, serving as a proper gateway to full-scale castle sieges. You are looking at massive open-field carnage where guilds clash in brutal competition. Up to 6 guilds and 300 adventurers can pile into this particular bloodbath.

To celebrate the test server launch, Pearl Abyss is rolling out a handful of events. Adventurers who dive in will walk away with goodies like Scroll of Order, Unidentified Chaos Skill Tome, Purified Water / Yuzu Tea / Clockwork Selection Chest, and a Tier 7 Chrono Pet Selection Chest.

Meanwhile, keeping player progression in mind, the studio has streamlined the insignia and crest engraving items. Following the Heidel Ball back in July, Pearl Abyss has steadily cleaned up clutter such as Crow Merchants Elixirs, accessories, and Condensed Dark Energy to make the progression curve slightly less painful and improve overall accessibility.

On top of all that, the 'Black Spirit's World Tour' is currently running to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the global integrated server. Set across 5 continents, this event lets adventurers use cards earned from daily logins to complete a themed board game. Finish the board, and the developer hands over sweet loot like Sealed Ring of Legacy, Akrad, Black Shrine Entry Pass, and Eye of Void.
