Look, let's be honest. It has barely been a month since Season 2 kicked off, yet someone has already bagged a Mythic spirit, causing quite a stir. Who is the mastermind behind this? And what is the actual state of the New World Season 2 servers right now? KookminTree dug into the data to find out.

The player 'hwal-eop-eum', the first to claim a Mythic spirit in New World Season 2

The very first Mythic spirit owner of New World Season 2 has finally arrived. The player in question is none other than the Archer 'hwal-eop-eum' on the Aurora server. Achieving a Mythic spirit just three weeks into the server launch is nothing short of bonkers. To top it all off, the spirit is the Guardian Divine Dragon, widely regarded as the absolute cream of the crop among all Mythic spirits. Thanks to this, the player managed to skyrocket combat power by a staggering 21,586 last week.

Next up is another Archer on the same server, 'hit-deu-con'. This player also boosted combat power by 23,484 last week, leaping from 9th to 2nd place in the New World Season 2 rankings. That officially puts the player alongside 'hwal-eop-eum' in the elite club of rankers boasting over 100,000 in combat power. Expect this rivalry to keep things spicy.

Meanwhile, other players have also been busy shaking up the charts: 'sayeok' on the Pegasus server pushed up by 16,266, 'jenny' on the Aurora server by 8,292, 'ppareun-batjwi' on the Vega server by 8,606, 'pok-pung-sul-sa pok-ssul' on the Phoenix server by 7,916, 'pyong-gim-gun' on the Pegasus server by 10,288, and 'hit-kka-ri' on the Aurora server by a massive 25,710. With plenty of growth metrics still left to squeeze out, these rankings are bound to stay volatile for a while.

Aurora and Phoenix surge with an average combat power increase of 8,000

Shifting gears to server averages, how do the New World Season 2 combat power rankings look? Data shows that over the past week, the Aurora server grew by 8,572 and the Phoenix server by 8,063, showing a solid upward trend. Interestingly, while the Phoenix server's top-tier rankers lag slightly behind other servers in raw numbers, a large cohort of upper-tier players are collectively lifting their combat power. That sort of broad growth will likely pay off when building rock-solid coalition forces later down the line.

The match of the week in New World Season 2: Aurora vs Pegasus sees a shifted war dynamic

Aurora and Pegasus, who already clashed in a brutal war last week, are locked in a rematch for the Black Night Archipelago. However, the political landscape of this war looks completely different this time around. The Asdal Alliance from the Aurora server—which was previously allied with Pegasus—has switched sides to join the Aurora coalition. Since the Asdal Alliance houses 'hwal-eop-eum', the server's undisputed number one player and the first owner of the Guardian Divine Dragon, the entire dynamic of the conflict has flipped on its head.

Comparing the combat potential of both coalitions, Aurora boasts an average top-ranker combat power of 81,606 against Pegasus's 79,311. In the 90k to 100k combat power bracket, Aurora fields 70 players compared to Pegasus's 86. While Aurora holds the edge in average power and peak ranker strength, Pegasus brings sheer numbers to the table. Expect a fiercely contested battle between the two sides.

Looking at the results of Wednesday's Black Night Archipelago boss war, Aurora walked away with the much better outcome. Still, since the matchmaking has barely been live for a day, the final verdict remains up in the air. Pegasus isn't going down without a fight, either, as the members banded together right until the end to snipe the final blow on the regional boss and secure a piece of the pie.
