Look, let's be honest about global esports: SAPPYYY, hailing from Toronto, Canada, has taken the crown at the Summoners War World Arena Championship 2026 (hereinafter SWC2026) America Cup.

The America Cup took place on October 11 at 3:00 AM KST at the Crisallis Hall of Toronto Metropolitan University. Eight contenders who survived the regional qualifiers clashed in a best-of-five single-elimination tournament, all fighting for one of the three coveted tickets to the World Finals.

SAPPYYY started the tournament ranked third in pre-match predictions, but immediately wrote a dramatic underdog story by crushing a heavy favourite in the opening match. In the quarterfinals, SAPPYYY swept TRUEWHALE—the top pick in predictions and the back-to-back Americas champion from 2023 and 2024—with a clean 3 to 0 set score. SAPPYYY then powered past ZEDORUS 3 to 0 in the semifinals to reach the grand final. In the final showdown, after a nail-biting five-set thriller against ZEZAS, SAPPYYY triumphed 3 to 2 to lift the trophy.

ZEZAS secured the runner-up spot, while in the third-place match, MONAGUA defeated ZEDORUS 3 to 0 to lock down the final World Finals ticket for the Americas. Consequently, SAPPYYY, ZEZAS, and MONAGUA will advance as the American representatives to the World Finals. They were awarded a share of the total prize pool of $20,000 (approximately 26,800,000 KRW), including a $10,000 (approximately 13,400,000 KRW) winner's prize, alongside shiny medals.
