Blizzard rolled out the 12.1.5 content update for the MMORPG World of Warcraft: Midnight on the 15th, packing the patch with a brand-new raid, a massive delve, open-world events, and plenty of other bits to chew on.

This latest update picks up the narrative thread right where the 12.1 update, 'Curse of Ulatek', left off. With Ulatek's defeat loosening the chains of containment, General Kixix, a C'thraxi warlord previously sealed away by the ancient Amani, has broken free. Players will face off against the unleashed C'thraxi warlord in a brand-new single-boss raid dubbed 'Liberation of Kixix', which is playable across Story, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties.

On top of that, World of Warcraft is getting its very first mega-delve: 'The Labyrinth of Kindozan'. As an ancient Amani sepulchre sealed for centuries finally opens its doors, relic-hungry looters and the Rottenwood tribe have swarmed inside to tear the place apart. Naturally, the spirits resting within are less than pleased and are violently purging the trespassers. Players will team up with Valeera Sanguinar to delve into the maze, unlocking potent abilities through a dedicated progression system and pocketing juicy rewards, including Mythic-tier gear.

The new open-world event, 'Aqir Incursion', sweeps across Eversong Woods and Zul'Aman. Every hour on the hour, public events pop up across the zones for a frantic 10-minute window before culminating in a full-blown boss showdown. Alongside this update, Mythic+ Season 2 kicks back into gear, giving players a chance to truly test their dungeon-crawling mettle and snag rewards upon hitting a season rating of 3,600.

If that wasn't enough, the mid-season content drop 'Venom of Ascension' is also here. Players can gather 'Venom of Ascension' through fresh quests to push the item level of their fully upgraded Season 2 Heroic and Mythic gear up by another notch, offering a brand-new carrot on a stick to chase down.
