Gravity has kicked off the domestic closed beta test (CBT) for its new MMORPG, Ragnarok Online Plus, on the 22nd.

The test runs for local players from October 22 to October 29. For the PC version, the client files are available for download via the official website, while the mobile version can be accessed through Google Play and Apple App Store's TestFlight.

Ragnarok Online Plus stands out by expanding its lore with a brand-new narrative absent from the original Ragnarok Online. The story unfolds across two worlds, 'Soll' and 'Mani', originating from fragments of Ymir's Heart. Furthermore, the developer has introduced an auto-hunting feature to enhance user convenience while retaining the core charm of the original. Preparing for a multi-platform release across PC and mobile, the PC version also features a dedicated widget function during auto-hunting, allowing players to keep track of progress right at the bottom of the screen even with the game window minimized.

This title was first unveiled at G-STAR 2025 under the tentative title 'Ragnarok Online Project 1.5'. At the time, it drew significant attention from industry insiders by teasing a parallel universe with a distinctly darker and more hostile atmosphere compared to the original.

Gravity is hosting various events both in-game and on the official community throughout the closed beta test period. In-game events include daily attendance rewards, as well as milestone rewards based on cumulative play time and level progression. Notably, the 8th-day attendance reward will grant players a box item at the official launch that lets them choose between the highly popular Angel Wing Hairband and Devil Wing Hairband from Ragnarok Online. Additional activities like treasure hunts and boss-summoning events are also lined up. Over on the official community, players can participate in CBT screenshot verification, bug reporting, and guide-sharing events, with rich rewards promised for lucky participants upon the official launch.
