Look, let's be honest, the knockout stage—the second round of the main tournament for Epic Seven, the mobile turn-based strategy RPG's global esports festival Epic Seven World Championship 2026 (E7WC 2026)—is scheduled to kick off on August 24.

E7WC is a tournament to determine the absolute global champion of Epic Seven's PvP content, World Arena. A total of 16 players will compete in the knockout stage: 14 players who survived the group stage held over the past two weeks, alongside Hazamarei, the champion, and MagicQi, the runner-up of this year's newly established online league, Epic Seven Masters 2026. Hazamarei and MagicQi secured their knockout stage seeds through their performances in Epic Seven Masters 2026.

The group stage, held across four days on October 10, 11, 17, and 18, delivered several thrilling matches that offered plenty of entertainment for Epic Seven fans. Notably, the previous tournament's champion, XiaoXuenai, lost to FN in the winners' match but triumphed in the final match to advance to the knockout stage, showcasing the tenacity of a defending champion. Furthermore, Omega sparked a huge buzz by pulling off a comeback victory in an unfavorable situation through the exquisite tactical use of the hero Salome, who can replicate enemy heroes.

The knockout stage is scheduled to run for about four weeks every weekend at noon, starting on August 24 and concluding on November 14. Just like the group stage, it will follow a double-elimination format to select the final four players who will advance to the finals held on November 28 at the Jamsil Lotte Cinema World Tower Superplex. All matches will be broadcast live in four languages via the official Epic Seven YouTube channel, Chzzk, and global Twitch.

Smilegate plans to run drops events for viewers watching the tournament through Chzzk and global Twitch, while also revealing coupon codes during the live broadcasts. In addition, an in-game match prediction event will be held where players can forecast match outcomes and earn rewards.
