Overgeared Hero, a mobile title crafted by Krafton’s very own creative studio 5minlab, has comfortably cruised past 3 million global downloads. The game made its debut on the global stage back on May 26, and the developer plans to showcase it at the Krafton booth during G-STAR 2026 this coming November.

Look, Overgeared Hero is essentially a roguelike strategy RPG where your combat fortunes rise and fall depending entirely on how you place and combine your gear. Players pick and fuse items turn by turn to craft superior equipment, squeezing them into limited inventory space to whip up a bespoke combat build. It cleverly mixes classic RPG collection mechanics—featuring equipment, pets, and class-specific characters—with tactical synergy considerations.

Right now, Overgeared Hero is running a collaboration event with Naver Webtoon's smash hit 'Surviving the Game as a Barbarian' (hereafter referred to as Surviving the Game as a Barbarian). This marks the very first IP crossover since the game's initial launch. Key figures from Surviving the Game as a Barbarian, namely Bjorn Yandel and Erwen, arrive as playable crossover characters, alongside fresh skins for Misha Karlstein and Arua Raven. Players can rake in progression rewards via a dedicated arena and various events, with the collaboration running until the maintenance on November 10.
