Pikmin Bloom, having kept us on our toes with seasonal themed Pikmin, is ringing in the summer with a fresh 'Shaved Ice' update.

Niantic announced on the 25th that a new update featuring 7 types of 'Shaved Ice Decor Pikmin' is coming our way. You can encounter these chilly companions from August 1st to 31st. Each Shaved Ice Decor Pikmin sports a design inspired by Japanese shaved ice, complete with refreshing fruit syrup drizzled over the top.

August brings more than just cool treats; a host of new challenge missions will also go live. Users who complete these tasks can earn rewards including Shaved Ice Decor Pikmin seedlings, fruit syrup bottles, and flower petals. Furthermore, if you manage to make the Big Flower in the center of the stage bloom, you'll net yourself extra gold seedlings. Completing the fruit syrup bottle collection mission will also unlock event-themed costumes for your Mii and even a 2024-taste ice cream Decor Pikmin seedling.

Meanwhile, for those of you who have reached level 20 or higher, the Event Premium Pass is available. Those who opt for the Event Premium Pass will earn extra seasonal nectar upon clearing stages and can even hand-pick the colour of their 'Shaved Ice Decor Pikmin' gold seedlings.
