Yuito Kimura, a prominent producer at Cygames—the studio behind hit titles like Granblue Fantasy and Shadowverse—has announced his resignation due to health issues.

Kimura shared the news on his personal social media on the 30th with a brief post titled 'Report.' He has been a key figure for years, overseeing major titles such as Princess Connect! Re: Dive, Lost Order, Rage of Bahamut, Shadowverse, and Granblue Fantasy. As a producer who actively engaged with the community through livestreams and other public appearances, he is a familiar face to many fans of Japanese subculture games.

Regarding the reason for his resignation, Kimura stated it was due to 'a decline in work efficiency caused by health issues.' He explained, 'Lately, I have found it increasingly difficult to maintain the level of performance I expect from myself. I reached the conclusion that I can no longer fulfill my duties as both a director and a producer in my current state.'

He reassured fans by adding, 'My health issues are not life-threatening.' He also reflected on the studio's growth, noting, 'When Cygames started, it was just five of us, but now it is filled with many brilliant and reliable colleagues. The handover for my existing titles is complete, so you can continue to enjoy these games with peace of mind.'

On a hopeful note, Kimura stated, 'I plan to take a sufficient rest to recover my health so that I might return to game development one day. I truly look forward to the day we can meet again.'
