Krafton has appointed Jae-cheol Park as its new CSMO (Chief Safety Management Officer).

This appointment is a measure to establish an advanced safety management system and proactively manage safety risks that may arise during the operation of major projects, including the relocation to the Seongsu cluster and eSports ventures.

Jae-cheol Park spent approximately 20 years managing safety and environmental protocols at Samsung subsidiaries, and later oversaw industrial safety and environmental management at Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power and Mirae Asset Global Investments. At Krafton, he is tasked with establishing the company's overarching safety management strategy and overseeing a proactive safety management system across all major business areas, including the Seongsu cluster relocation and eSports. In particular, he plans to focus on preemptively blocking health and safety risks that may occur during the Seongsu cluster relocation and creating an environment where employees can work safely.

Through this appointment, Krafton aims to strengthen safety standards across all stages from business planning to operation and introduce a system that allows for immediate suspension if a risk is identified. Furthermore, for large-scale offline events such as eSports tournaments, the company plans to standardize a process that covers everything from preliminary risk assessments and on-site inspections to post-event evaluations.
