Smilegate's Orange Planet Startup Foundation has officially kicked off its regular recruitment drive for the first half of 2026.

The call is open to any startup consisting of two or more members. The stage or sector does not matter, and pre-seed founders are also eligible to apply. The foundation is placing a primary focus on 'global competitiveness,' with plans to select teams that demonstrate high potential for success on the international stage.

Orange Planet will provide selected startups with office space at its Gangnam Center and support them with growth programs for up to one year. The foundation plans to assign dedicated managers, provide business strategy refinement, and offer sector-specific mentoring. Opportunities for collaboration and networking with veteran founders from the Orange Planet alumni network will also be provided.

Smilegate Investment is participating as a partner to review early-stage investment opportunities for the selected startups. This includes up to 500 million KRW in initial funding, mentoring for follow-up investment, and opportunities linked to the Tech Incubator Program for Startup (TIPS).

Applications are open until January 20, and the final results will be announced in March. Further details on how to apply can be found on the official Orange Planet website.
