Yoo Chang-ho, representing Jeonnam under the alias 'Ahina', has successfully secured back-to-back championships in the FC Mobile category at the Korea Esports League (KEL). The tournament kicked off on May 16 in Jinju, Gyeongnam, and wrapped up its month-and-a-half journey in Busan.

The main event saw 24 competitors hailing from 12 regions across the country. After a grueling qualifying process, it came down to Yoo and Kwon Min-seok in the final. Yoo took the first set with a comeback, then managed to clinch the second set through a nail-biting penalty shootout after extra time. He finished off the sweep by winning the third set 2-1 to claim the throne. Meanwhile, Gwangju's representative 'Beelzebub' Kim Tae-hyun secured third place.

As for the prizes, Yoo was named the tournament MVP, walking away with 10 million KRW, a Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award, and a GC PRO gaming chair. Runner-up Kwon Min-seok pocketed 5 million KRW, while Kim Tae-hyun took home 2 million KRW for his third-place effort. Both the champion and runner-up now have the honor of representing South Korea at this year's FC Pro Mobile Mid-Season event.

Yoo shared his thoughts after the win: "Chasing a second consecutive title was mentally taxing, but the experience from last year's international stage helped me mature, and that's why I could win again. I'll prepare even harder to bring home good results, carrying the pride of being a Korean representative. I'm truly grateful to Jeollanam-do, my family, and the clan members who helped me train."

The league itself was established last year to cultivate local talent and sharpen their competitive edge. The scale of the event expanded this year, drawing players from 12 different regions. It is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and co-organized by the Korea e-Sports Association (KeSPA) and Nexon Korea. The offline matches were held in collaboration with local esports arenas in Busan, Gwangju, Jinju, and Daejeon.
