Smilegate has rolled out a new Moonlight Hero, Elvira of the Rifting Wave, for its mobile turn-based strategy RPG, Epic Seven.

Elvira of the Rifting Wave takes centre stage in the special summer side story, 'Show Me Even the Hidden Depths.' The narrative follows the character's journey as a loyal follower of the shadow elf king, Harsetti, only to end up on a coastline chasing primal power, where she falls victim to a twisted spirit's control due to Harsetti’s machinations.

As a 5-star Dark-element Mage, this hero thrives on a 'Corrosion' state that triggers at the start of combat, significantly boosting skill effect chances. The second skill, 'Yearning Affection,' induces Corrosion immediately. When attacking, it pierces enemy defense and deals consistent damage, bypassing the need for critical hits. Furthermore, every time an ally uses a skill, Elvira of the Rifting Wave gains a chance to increase her Combat Readiness based on the number of debuffs on the enemy.

The first skill, 'Rift Cleave,' has a high chance to Seal the target before attacking; if used on the hero’s own turn, it may trigger a follow-up 'Twisted Strike.' The third skill, 'Wave of Curses,' inflicts a curse on all enemies except the target, with the success rate doubling while in the Corrosion state. Once awakened, this skill grants a massive boost to Combat Readiness, allowing for consecutive turns.

If Elvira of the Rifting Wave falls while in the Corrosion state, the entire team receives a 'Surge' buff, and Corrosion is lifted. Surge adds fixed damage to attacks, serving as a safety net to bolster the team's offensive output even after Elvira of the Rifting Wave has exited the battlefield.
