PAN STUDIO has rolled out version 1.5, 'Prelude to Paradise,' for its RPG, Duet Night Abyss.

The star of this update is Aida, a water-attribute character who wields polearms and dual pistols with ease. Players can obtain Aida for free via request letters or purchase the character from the shop, utilizing a non-gacha system that guarantees character acquisition. Alongside this, new gear like the 'Best Day' dual pistols and 'Sacred Blood Pistol' are now available through crafting or the shop. The high-difficulty 'Deep Challenge' dungeon is now a permanent fixture, and the new rotating weapon 'Obsidian Scythe of Penetration' will be introduced on August 18.

Five new side stories are also permanently unlocked, including 'What Do We Live For?', 'The Art of Repair Through Meditation', 'Under the Veil', 'Proof of Square Sin', and 'Phaeton's Fall'. PAN STUDIO has also improved game convenience with a cutscene replay feature, profile and page customization, the ability to hide spirits, pinned equipment presets, customizable background music in rest areas, and a revised mobile control layout.

Throughout the season, various events will be held sequentially, including the 'White Rabbit's Invitation' login bonus, 'Bloomfield Station Tales', 'Treasure Hunting Training', and the 'Mechanical Puppet Brawl'. Most notably, the 'Crimson Nightmare' limited-time event runs from August 18 to 6:00 AM on September 29, featuring two new costumes for Camilla and Hilda. The developer has also eased the progression burden for catastrophe weapons and deep-content, improving the overall gameplay environment.
