Smilegate is kicking off the character pre-creation event for developer NPIXEL’s MMORPG, Eclipse: The Awakening, starting at 12:00 PM on August 19. Alongside this, the publisher is set to unveil its official skin programme, titled 'Eclipse PICK'.

You can now stake your claim on a server and lock in your character name via the official Eclipse website, as well as finalise your class selection. Smilegate has announced plans to roll out 24 server clusters for this pre-creation phase. Once you have completed the process, you will be able to jump straight into the action the moment the game officially launches, skipping the initial setup hassle entirely.

Ahead of the full release, Eclipse PICK is being introduced as a collaborative brand focused on creating official in-game skins with various partners. For Season 1, six participants—streamers Big Boss, Susam, Manman, Bongjun, Nari, and Fairy Ash—are on board. Smilegate intends to craft custom appearances, voice lines, and animations that reflect the unique personality of each partner, with the final results available to preview on the event page. Smilegate is currently in the process of registering the trademark for Eclipse PICK and plans to expand these collaborations further down the line.

Smilegate also intends to weave Eclipse PICK into social contribution projects. The goal is to foster positive influence through the synergy of gaming and fandom; proceeds generated from the sales of these official skins will be donated to social welfare initiatives in partnership with Smilegate Hope Studio.

Additionally, fresh combat footage showcasing two weapon types for each class will be released on the official website. This allows you to get a head start on understanding the combat styles and weapon characteristics, helping you choose the class that best suits your personal playstyle.
