Playwith Korea has dropped some fresh visuals for its upcoming MMORPG, Seal M2.

Spotted via the teaser page, these snaps lean heavily into the series' signature lighthearted and breezy charm, whilst serving up a considerably slicker coat of paint and a more brooding atmosphere. It is a not-so-subtle flex of MMORPG ambition, signalling the exact direction Playwith Korea is taking to give the beloved franchise a cheeky little makeover.

At the very heart of this brand-new lore lies what the publisher calls 'unfamiliar familiarity'. The primary playground, dubbed the 'New Shiltz', is dripping with nostalgic vistas designed to tickle the fancies of veteran fans, yet the deeper you venture, the more you realise that something in this world is subtly off-kilter. The developer plans to spin an adventure that boldly sets itself apart from past entries.

Fear not, traditionalists, for the core identity remains completely intact. Seal M2 keeps the classic class progression system, starting you off as a humble novice before branching out into various vocations. By introducing fresh classes, Playwith Korea intends to spice up the gameplay loop and toss in a bit of strategic depth for good measure.

A representative for Playwith Korea noted that these images symbolically capture the evolved world and gameplay of Seal M2, before adding that they plan to roll out pre-registration and more juicy launch details in the very near future ahead of its official Q4 release, so fans should keep their eyes peeled.
