Nimble Neuron announced on August 2 that the 91st new character, Ceres, has been added to the PC game Eternal Return. Ceres wields a two-handed sword as the main weapon and acts as a tanker and support character. Along with this, updates including new skins, emotes, and various system improvements were carried out.

In the lore of Eternal Return, Ceres is a maid character trained as a tool for experiments and a combatant, educated to live without emotions. However, Ceres shows a blind devotion to a girl who accepted Ceres just as she was. Having survived harsh experiments, Ceres was branded as a failure and had to constantly prove her usefulness to have her disposal postponed. After completing countless orders, the final mission given was to monitor and observe a girl. In the process, the girl gifted Ceres a name, a birthday, and a token of friendship, and the girl became Ceres's true master and the reason to stay alive.

Ceres is a character who uses a two-handed sword weapon type and performs tanker and support roles. Key skills include 'Rush/Pierce', which dashes in a designated direction and grants a shield; 'Crushing Formation', which swings a greatsword widely to deal skill damage; 'Bodyguard', which takes damage on behalf of a designated ally; and 'Vow Dedicated to the Light', which provides a shield to self and allies.

Alongside the release of Ceres, Nimble Neuron rolled out a game update. Four types of Ceres character emotes and a new skin, 'Tennis Club Priya', were added. In addition, quality-of-life features such as kiosk priority purchase material guidance, user blocking functionality, and an NP purchase stamp system were improved, alongside adjustments to traits, weapon skills, and subject balance.

Aside from the game update, events allowing players to acquire Ceres character emotes and icons, as well as the Masters Season 12 Phase 3 esports, are scheduled to take place.
