Netmarble is rolling out a fresh update for The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, introducing the brand new hero Lancelot alongside the main story chapter titled Heart of Water.

Lancelot, born to the human Ban and the fairy Elaine, is quite the versatile fighter, wielding a staff, a longsword, and gauntlets. When equipped with the staff or longsword, Lancelot steps up as a holy or physical attacker respectively, beefing up attacks under specific conditions to dish out serious damage. Switch over to the gauntlets, and Lancelot pivots into an earth-element supporter, backing up allies by recovering tag gauges and boosting critical damage. Exclusive costumes and weapon skins for Lancelot are also arriving on the scene. If you give Lancelot a spin before October 28, you can bag yourself some star fragments per weapon type, top-tier mastery EXP, and other goodies.

The new main story chapter, Heart of Water, is also stepping into the spotlight. Set against the backdrop of Cordin Village, which has been hit by a mysterious petrification disaster, the story follows Tristan as the character works to unravel the tragic tales of the petrified villagers, set up temporary shelters, and steer the community through this crisis. Along the way, secrets unfold regarding an incident tied to the memento left behind by a boy's older brother, as well as the hidden motives of an individual attempting to summon something using that very memento. Alongside this narrative drop, Cordin Village joins the map as a brand new exploration area.

A slate of events and challenge content is also locked and loaded. The lottery-meets-bingo event runs until October 28, challenging players to clear daily missions, grab bingo tickets, and clear out the board. Running across the same timeframe, the Heart-Pounding! Open the Cube event lets players use cube keys upon completing missions to score extra cube keys, star fragments, and standard hero draw tickets.

To top it all off, an update celebration check-in event running until November 18 is handing out brilliant engraving seals, standard hero draw tickets, and cube keys. Meanwhile, the 15-player boss battle Chaos That Bites the Desert makes its triumphant return from October 14 to November 4. Players can take the fight straight to the boss Kalbash to earn the Evil Dragon's Roar weapon selection box, star fragments, and more.

You can check out all the nitty-gritty details over on the official The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin website.
