Bandai Namco Entertainment Korea has launched the Korean version of Tales of Eternia Remastered on the 15th. The game is out now across Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X/S platforms, with the Steam version following closely on the 16th. Naturally, a celebratory launch event is also underway.

For the uninitiated, Tales of Eternia is an RPG deeply rooted in themes of eternity and bonds. The narrative unfolds in Eternia, a realm where two worlds, Inferia and Celestia, face each other across the sky. Reid, the protagonist living in the fringe village of Rasheans in Inferia, along with childhood friend Farah, crosses paths with a mysterious girl named Meredy from Celestia. Upon discovering that a catastrophic world collision known as the Grand Fall is imminent, the group embarks on a grand quest to avert disaster with the aid of the Great Crested Spirits who govern the laws of nature.

Combat utilises the Aggressive Linear Motion Battle System (A-LMBS), delivering brisk and fluid 2D action battles. This system shines through its diverse spells, skill activations, combo chains, and tactical synergy with companion characters who bring their own distinct fighting styles. This remastered version also packs some much-needed quality-of-life upgrades. Features like destination icons, an option to disable random encounters, and a high-speed mode for auto-battles ensure a far smoother playthrough. Furthermore, toggles for graphics and sound effects (SE) let players lean right back into the nostalgic atmosphere of the original release.
