On the 19th, the International Esports Federation (IESF) announced the results of a doping violation investigation stemming from the 2022 World Esports Championship (WEC22) and the subsequent disciplinary actions.

According to the IESF, Arslan Siddique tested positive during the tournament on December 10, 2022. The test detected substances classified as S1.1A 'Anabolic Androgenic Steroids' under the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) prohibited list, including 19-norandrosterone, 19-noretiocholanolone, stanozolol metabolites, and methandienone metabolites.

The disciplinary action was handed down by an IESF hearing panel following IESF anti-doping regulations, which align with the WADA Code. The suspension period was set from April 26, 2023, to April 25, 2025. Per IESF rules, all results, medals, titles, and prize money earned by Arslan Siddique at WEC22 were stripped, and results from December 10, 2022, through April 26, 2023, were also voided.

Arslan Siddique, widely known by the handle 'Arslan Ash', is a Pakistani Tekken professional who has been instrumental in turning Pakistan into a Tekken powerhouse. He holds the record for the most EVO Tekken titles in history and has secured victories at EVO Japan, EVO, and the Tekken World Tour Global Finals, cementing his legacy in the scene.

However, this IESF sanction does not invalidate Arslan Siddique's major international career wins. Official Tekken esports events primarily run under the Tekken World Tour (TWT) brand organized by Bandai Namco, which is independent of IESF events. Consequently, the suspension applied only to IESF-sanctioned play, and as the disciplinary period has already expired, his accolades from major international stages like EVO remain untouched.
