SOOP announced on the 4th that former secretary-general Ju Young-dal, known by the handle 'Odin', has been appointed as the new General Manager for the professional esports team 'DN Freaks'.

Ju Young-dal has been deeply involved in the League of Legends scene since 2016, securing a runner-up finish at the 2016 World Championship and claiming the title in 2017. Since 2022, Ju Young-dal has served as secretary-general for DN Freaks, gaining extensive insight into the team's internal operations and roster management.

Under the new leadership of Ju Young-dal, the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) squad will be supported by head coach Jung Min-seok and coaches Kim Chang-seong and Yang Hyun-min. Meanwhile, the Challengers League (CL) team will be led by manager Jung Myung-hoon and coach Son Min-hyuk.

Beyond the LCK, Ju Young-dal will also take direct oversight of the PUBG, FC Online, and Fighting Game Community (FGC) rosters, focusing on improving performance and nurturing emerging talent to bolster the organization's overall competitiveness.

DN Freaks stated, "We look forward to enhanced focus and systematic operations through closer mental health support and teamwork-oriented management for our players," adding, "We are committed to showcasing a more evolved team amidst these changes."

In parallel, DN Freaks has signaled a broader shift in team management, appointing Lee Min-won as the new CEO and welcoming Kim Seong-han as the incoming General Manager.
