Smilegate announced on the 3rd that it received the 'Transparent Management Award' presented by the Korea Accounting Information Association.

The Transparent Management Award is presented to private companies and public institutions that strive to improve accounting transparency and practice ethical and mutual-growth management. The award evaluates companies across six rigorous criteria: ethical management, financial stability, corporate transparency policies, stakeholder engagement, regulatory compliance, and transparent disclosure of risk management activities.

Smilegate Group CEO Sung Joon-ho was honored with the award in recognition of his efforts in establishing a fair and transparent accounting system and financial reporting framework, as well as actively practicing ethical management.

Since adopting the Korea International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS) in 2022, Smilegate has built a global-standard ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system to standardize and automate accounting tasks, thereby enhancing the reliability of its financial information. Furthermore, the company has upgraded its internal accounting control system to the level of a publicly listed company, strengthening the transparency of financial reporting and the effectiveness of internal controls.

In addition, the company has established a reliable financial reporting system by faithfully complying with accounting standards and disclosure regulations, and has institutionalized a culture of ethical management through the enactment of a code of ethics, employee training, and the operation of an internal reporting system.
