The Gyeonggi Sports Council is set to host the 2025 Gyeonggi International e-Sports Festival at the Pyeongtaek Lee Chung Culture & Sports Center gymnasium this December 6th.

The 2025 Gyeonggi International e-Sports Festival aims to expand international exchanges for amateur players and foster local synergy, turning the event into a celebration for players, users, and citizens alike. The event is hosted and organised by the Gyeonggi Sports Council and the Gyeonggi e-Sports Association, with sponsorship from Gyeonggi Province.

The tournament features League of Legends, Valorant, and Brawl Stars. Online qualifiers took place from November 22nd to 30th, and the teams reaching the finals will take to the offline stage on December 6th.

The total prize pool stands at 43.6 million KRW, marking one of the most generous purses for an amateur e-sports tournament in the country. For League of Legends and Valorant, the winner takes home 10 million KRW, with 5 million KRW for 2nd, 2.5 million KRW for 3rd, 1.5 million KRW for 4th, and 1 million KRW for 5th. Brawl Stars awards 1.5 million KRW for 1st, 900,000 KRW for 2nd, and 600,000 KRW each for the two 3rd-place teams.

There is a fair share of side events, too. You can dive into the game zone to play console, VR, and board games, or visit the career experience zone for some professional guidance on becoming a pro gamer. There is also AR e-sports dodgeball on the list. Furthermore, an event match and autograph session with the Nongshim RedForce Valorant pro team will take place, alongside a Brawl Stars open tournament hosted by creator 'Holit' Yu Seong-ryeong.

Every match and side event is completely free to attend. Lee Won-sung, President of the Gyeonggi Sports Council, remarked, "I hope this international e-sports festival serves as a growth opportunity for players and a festival for all spectators to enjoy together. The Gyeonggi Sports Council will continue to provide support for the healthy development of e-sports, and we kindly ask for your interest and support."
