Nexon unveiled the update roadmap for its mobile MMORPG, 'MapleStory M', during the 'EXPAND' 2025 Winter Showcase held on the 7th.

The first winter update on December 18 will introduce the new job, 'Khali'. Khali is characterized by high mobility and lowered control difficulty, ensuring both fun in character growth and combat stability. Growth support events, including level achievement rewards and a 7-day attendance check, will be held for Khali characters.

Along with this, the 'Born to V' event will be introduced, allowing players to reach level 200 in under 30 minutes. It also provides a 'Hyper Burning Booster' that enables 1+4 level-ups up to level 250. Additionally, 'Item Burning' with eased mission difficulty and 'Everyone's Burning 1+2 Boost Up', which allows two companion characters to grow alongside a leader character, will be held.

The growth path to level 200 will also be shortened. Furthermore, free job advancement within the same job group will be supported for characters level 200 or higher who have completed their 5th job advancement.

In addition, convenience will be improved by applying various systems and enhancements, such as the introduction of the 'MapleM Scheduler', marketplace improvements, mannequin feature enhancements, and automated Fever Buffs.

On January 15 of next year, new original skills called 'Stella Code' will be added. It consists of 'Constella Code', an active skill that unleashes the power of the constellation assigned to each job group, and 'Star Chorus', a passive skill that permanently increases core stats such as physical/magic damage and boss attack power.

Along with this, a new original boss, 'Azazel', and exclusive rewards, 'Stigma of Azazel', will be revealed. Various other improvements will be applied, including the introduction of buff and skill preset functions, the addition of the Union character growth content 'Union Champion', and the easing of boss difficulty and adjustment of maximum boss entry to 6 players.

Finally, on February 12 of next year, a large-scale update for the 6th job advancement system, 'HEXA Matrix', will be conducted. A new common core, 'Sol Janus', available to all jobs, and a second 'Mastery Core' that enhances each job's skills will be added simultaneously.

Furthermore, the new character 'Illium' will be introduced, and new regions 'Hotel Arcus' and 'Karote' will be updated. Additionally, the epic dungeon 'High Mountain', which supports auto-battle and offers many rewards, will be unveiled, and a second round of Item Burning, Born to V, and Everyone's Burning 1+2 Boost Up events will be held.

The showcase, held under the title 'EXPAND', which signifies the possibility of experience and infinite adventure, took place at the Von Da Vinci Museum in Neung-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, with an online live broadcast. Kim Hyun-seung, General Director of 'MapleStory M' at Nexon, led the presentation.

Various participation programs were offered to visitors at the showcase, including an event to check 'MapleStory M' play records, a merchandise shop, photo zones, and fortune-telling events. In addition, limited-edition special gifts were provided.
