Cyberpunk 2077 is expanding its gritty universe once more, shifting from animation, novels, and comics into the realm of TCGs.

On the 10th, CD Projekt announced the 'Cyberpunk TCG' via their official social media, with a Kickstarter campaign slated for 2026. The trailer confirms that the game will feature characters not just from 'Cyberpunk 2077', but also from the Netflix original series 'Cyberpunk: Edgerunners'. Development is being handled by a fresh face in the industry, 'WiredCo'.

According to the game's premise, you'll be gathering iconic figures from the franchise to assemble the 'ultimate Edgerunner crew', battling it out to become a legend in Night City. For those uninitiated, Edgerunners are the lawless mercenaries prowling the streets. Notably, the artwork for this TCG is bespoke, crafted specifically for the cards rather than just recycling in-game assets.

A sneak peek at some cards reveals the core structure of the game. Unit cards like 'Psycho Squad', 'Offduty Malfini', and 'Swordwise Huscle' were showcased, alongside equipment cards including cyberware and implants like 'Mantis Blades' and 'Kiroshi Optics'. Fans will be pleased to see familiar faces appearing as limited cards, including 'Lucy', 'V', 'Panam Palmer', 'Jackie Welles', and 'Judy Alvarez'.

The cards sport various stats, including attack power, with some equipment offering unique effects during combat or defensive phases. Keywords such as 'attack', 'Gigs', and 'Street Cred' suggest that the game will focus as much on completing jobs to build your reputation as it does on raw combat.
