Warframe has released its final content update of the year. With the arrival of 'The Old Peace' on the 11th, the game surged past 170,000 concurrent players, marking its highest peak in three years.

This update dives deep into the Tau system, featuring a cinematic quest that explores the origins of the Sentient war. Key content includes a new Warframe, 'Uriel', and a trio of Protoframes: Marie LeRoux, Leon Allard, and Ross. Additionally, the 'Tauron Strike' ultimate for Focus Schools, a visual remaster for both Operators and Drifters, and fresh game modes like 'Perita Revolt' and 'Descendia' have been added.

While Warframe’s update cadence is generally consistent, this release performed significantly better than October’s 'The Warfaring Depths', with peak concurrent players more than doubling to 175,546. This surge is attributed to the debut of the Tau system and the overhaul of Operator-focused gameplay. Furthermore, the introduction of a quest-skip feature has lowered the barrier to entry for returning players.

Along with 'The Old Peace', the Gyre Prime Access pack has been released, allowing players to obtain Gyre Prime and her signature gear.

Elsewhere on the Steam global charts, GTA 5 Enhanced Edition climbed to 3rd place following the 'Shelter on the Hill' update for GTA Online. Meanwhile, Disney Dreamlight Valley reached 7th place, drawing interest with new community features like item requests and photo sharing, alongside Cinderella-themed content.
