CI Games unveiled the first gameplay trailer for Lords of the Fallen II at The Game Awards 2025. The footage showcased soulslike combat against monsters and the series' signature dual-reality world. Currently in development using Unreal Engine 5, the title is scheduled for release in 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Epic Games Store.

Lords of the Fallen II is a soulslike action RPG set in a world of gods, sorcery, and guardians. 1,000 years after the fall of the dark god Adyr, the human kingdom is locked in a final struggle against the Umbral dimension—a realm of death—and its master. Players take on the role of a Lampbearer, utilizing a new dismemberment mechanic to slice through foes, while expanded execution moves allow them to silence enemies for good.

The combat system has been improved to be faster and more fluid. Whether tackling various enemy types and bosses solo, engaging in shared-progress co-op, or testing skills in optional PvP, the game offers a significant challenge. The debut footage showcased three distinct boss encounters.

These include the Heartroot Warden, wielding a massive blade wrapped in iron and chains; the Koydreth, emerging from rune-etched mirrors; and Lingao the Souring Storm, a dragon channeling the power of a tempest. Game director James Lowe stated, "We are thrilled to share our first look at Lords of the Fallen II at TGA," adding, "We have focused on delivering faster combat, a wider variety of enemies, and more intense boss encounters."
