Clouded Leopard Entertainment has announced that the second remake in Nihon Falcom’s story RPG series, Trails in the Sky the 2nd, will be released in 2026. The game will support Korean at launch as part of a worldwide simultaneous release, and will be available on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Steam.

Trails in the Sky the 2nd serves as the conclusion to the journey of Estelle and Joshua, acting as a project to commemorate the series' 20th anniversary. While inheriting the systems of its predecessor, it features improved character graphics and event scenes with enhanced emotional expression. It also includes a combat system that allows players to toggle between quick battles and command battles for a more comfortable gameplay experience.

This remake is based on the previously released The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC, set across the entire Liberl Kingdom. It follows the process of uncovering the identity of the secret society 'Ouroboros,' which operated behind the scenes of the Liberl Kingdom coup, and searching for Joshua, who disappeared leaving only a harmonica behind. The journey of Estelle Bright, now a full-fledged Bracer, to stop the society's conspiracy and retrieve her partner begins in earnest.

Along with the release announcement, Clouded Leopard Entertainment has launched a teaser site and trailer, and opened store pages on PS5 and Steam. The game will feature Japanese voice acting. The age rating is currently pending, and pricing and specific release dates will be announced at a later time.
