Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, the spiritual successor to the Castlevania series created by Koji Igarashi, is now available for free on the Epic Games Store.

On the 24th, Epic Games began offering Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for free. This promotion runs until 1:00 AM on the 25th, at which point the store will rotate to its next free game. Details regarding the next title have not yet been disclosed.

Released in 2019, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night follows the journey of Miriam, an alchemist cursed to have her body slowly crystallize. The game features a Metroidvania style where players battle demons to save humanity and break the curse. It has been well-received for reviving the nostalgia of Castlevania through its blend of 2D and 3D visuals and signature whip-cracking action, while offering a more evolved gameplay experience.

Meanwhile, alongside the free game distribution, Epic Games is holding its Holiday Sale until 1:00 AM on January 9th.
