On the 8th, Nexon released the second 'BEYOND' winter update for Counter-Strike Online, which includes a balance revamp for the Zombie Hero mode.

The update buffs the zombie faction to better balance the gameplay against human players. This includes strengthening base stats such as zombie health, easing the difficulty of using zombie-specific skills, and improving overall controls.

A new feature allows players to evolve into an 'Enraged Powerful Host Zombie' once the fury gauge is filled. Additionally, the skills for three 'Enraged Powerful Host Zombie' types—Psycho Zombie, Jiangshi Zombie, and Rusty Wing—have been enhanced.

For the human faction, a new morale boost system has been introduced. Furthermore, several improvements have been applied, such as increasing the spawn frequency of Hero Zombies when five or more humans are still alive with two minutes remaining in a round.

Players who log in will receive four trial weapons for use in Zombie Hero mode. Additionally, an event is underway where completing 12-week missions allows players to obtain one permanent weapon of their choice, usable in all modes.

Furthermore, an event running until February 4th allows players to earn lucky tickets through daily missions. These tickets can be used to challenge for rewards including the 26-1 Epic weapon, 100 Transcendence Decoders, 1,000,000 Nexon Cash, and various gaming peripherals. Each use of a lucky ticket also grants a Unique Decoder.
