The collaborative effort between the LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company International has finally been revealed. Since the partnership was announced last March, this is the first information released, including the designs of the Pokémon built with LEGO bricks and the official launch date of February 27. However, the reception from fans has been mixed.

The initial Pokémon LEGO lineup consists of three sets featuring five of the most iconic Pokémon: Pikachu, Eevee, Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise. The Pikachu set, consisting of 2,050 bricks, allows for two dynamic configurations: one mid-battle erupting from a Poké Ball, and another in a more sedate sitting pose. The black, lightning-rod-style stand features the Pokédex number 25, complete with brick-built electric effects.

The Starter Evolution set, one of the largest display models in LEGO history, uses over 6,838 pieces. It faithfully recreates the Kanto classics—Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise—on bases that reflect their natural habitats. The Eevee set, released alongside the others, consists of 587 pieces and features articulated limbs, head, and tail, allowing for various expressions and poses.

However, immediately after the product images were released, some raised concerns about the design. In particular, the Pikachu model is facing criticism for its overly protruding cheeks and angular nose and eye area, which some find unsettling. Some fans have even commented that the facial structure is bizarre enough to be reminiscent of the animatronics from the horror game 'Five Nights at Freddy's'.

Pre-orders are available now via the official LEGO website and Pokémon Center stores, with retail availability starting on the official launch date of February 27. To celebrate the launch, a digital scavenger hunt will run from January 12 to February 27. The winner will receive tickets to the 2026 Pokémon World Championships in San Francisco and the new sets as a prize. Additionally, select Pokémon Center locations are offering a Kanto Region badge collection for those who pre-order the large sets.

This product launch comes about a year after the two companies signed a partnership last March. At the time, The Pokémon Company explained that they joined forces with LEGO based on shared values of creativity and fun to provide trainers with a unique and meaningful experience.
