SOOP announced that it has been selected as the exclusive Korean-language broadcasting partner for the 2026 Overwatch Champions Series (OWCS). The OWCS is the official esports circuit for the team-based shooter Overwatch 2, hosted by Blizzard Entertainment, which launched in 2024.

The competition operates across various regions, including Asia (Korea and Japan), North America, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), and China. Following its role in 2025, SOOP will continue as the Korean-language broadcast partner for 2026. Domestic viewers can watch all OWCS matches on SOOP at up to 1440p resolution.

OWCS ASIA, co-hosted and managed by Blizzard Entertainment and WDG, is the official league for the Asian region. The Korean segment, titled 'OWCS ASIA - Korea', is planned to run across three stages annually. At the end of each stage, top-performing regional teams will earn spots in international tournaments, competing on various global stages, including the 2026 OWCS Champions Class.

Stage 1 of OWCS ASIA – Korea is set to begin in March 2026. Six teams—CR, FLC, T1, ZETA, WAE, and ONG—have already secured automatic qualification based on last year's performance. Additional teams will be selected through separate open tournaments. This year, a new OWCS Preseason Bootcamp event will be held in Seoul, South Korea, starting February 13 for three days, ahead of the regular season. This event will feature 11 OWCS partner teams and one invited team.

SOOP will exclusively broadcast all events, from the OWCS Preseason Bootcamp to the OWCS World Finals, with full Korean commentary. During the broadcast period, various promotions such as viewer-participatory drops and match prediction events will be available.
