Krafton’s creative studio, 5minlab, has officially kicked off pre-registration for their new mobile title, Overgeared Hero. The game pitches itself as an inventory-management-focused roguelike, where your combat prowess is dictated by how you hoard and arrange your digital loot.

The core hook here is simple: 'your bag is your battle power.' In each session, you’ll be picking up randomized items, merging them, and Tetris-ing them into your inventory to forge a unique combat build. It’s all about the strategic spatial puzzle; how you shove items of various grades and shapes into that limited grid space will determine just how effectively you dismantle your foes.

Beyond the inventory fiddling, there’s a steady progression loop involving gear, pets, and character classes. You’ll need to weigh up critical hits, damage-over-time effects, and various buffs to tailor your playstyle. Once your bag is packed, the combat unfolds automatically, with sessions clocking in at a brisk five minutes or so. It’s all wrapped in a charming, retro-flavoured pixel aesthetic—a nice visual palate cleanser for what is essentially a deep, strategic build-crafting experience.

5minlab is keeping the pre-registration window open right up until launch. If you sign up, you’ll receive a Hero-grade 'Eagle' pet, 10 Golden Keys for high-end gear pulls, 10 Pet Eggs, and 1,000 gems once the game goes live. You can jump into the pre-registration via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, with availability spanning all regions.

Overgeared Hero is scheduled to hit the shelves in Korea and Taiwan first in April 2026, followed by a wider release in the US and Japan in May 2026.
