Webzen recently welcomed 42 children of its staff for a free coding workshop held in the first half of 2026. It is part of the company's ongoing mission to support work-life balance and provide welfare benefits for employees' families.

Webzen held its first-half 'Let's PLAY Coding!' session on April 11 at the Yatap Youth Centre. This initiative has been a staple of Webzen’s internal benefits package since 2018 and currently runs twice a year, with professional instructors guiding participants through tailored coding lessons.

The curriculum was designed to help children with little to no coding experience grasp concepts naturally. For pre-schoolers, the program provided 'unplugged' coding education using robot mice, allowing them to learn the fundamentals of sequencing, loops, and logical structures for problem-solving.

In the primary school classrooms, students used Hamster Bots that move according to their own code to perform various mission activities, such as robot soccer and maze escapes. For older primary school students, the session focused on creating and experiencing retro-style games based on MakeCode Arcade.

With the first-half program concluded, Webzen is preparing for the second half by incorporating feedback and improvements from participants.
