Line Games announced on the 17th that its board of directors has appointed current CEO Cho Dong-hyun and former Chief Strategy Officer Bae Young-jin as new co-CEOs. The company plans to enhance its global competitiveness in the game business and strengthen its organizational capabilities to respond flexibly to the changing market environment through this co-CEO system. This move is interpreted as an intention to focus on improving the company's fundamentals and strengthening internal stability.

Co-CEO Cho Dong-hyun graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He served as the head of the development division and head of the new business division at Nexon Korea, and in 2014, he founded the game developer Super Awesome, successfully leading multiple projects such as 'Hello Kitty Friends' and proving his management capabilities. Since joining Line Games as COO in 2023, Cho has led the successful launch and market stabilization of 'The Genesis War Mobile'. Based on these achievements, he was appointed as co-CEO in March 2024 and has been refining the overall strategy for the game business.

Co-CEO Bae Young-jin is an investment expert who graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Business Administration. He built his management experience by founding the game company Mobile Factory after working at PIA PE and Nexon's investment office. He served as CFO and CSO at Line Games until 2023, and most recently, he has continued his expertise in the investment field by establishing and operating Tail Ventures, a venture capital firm specializing in early-stage medical and healthcare investments.

With the launch of the new co-CEO system, Line Games is accelerating its efforts to strengthen business competitiveness. The company plans to refine its lineup strategy to fully implement a fast-paced multi-title system and increase the proportion of PC titles targeting the global market. Through this, it will release more than three new PC titles within the year, including 'Amber n Blade', which is considered a global highly anticipated title. In the mobile sector, it is accelerating global expansion by pushing for the China launch of 'Uncharted Waters Origin' and the international release of 'The Genesis War Mobile'.

The company also intends to further accelerate its mobile multi-title strategy, which began with 'Fairy Tail Quest' and 'Animal Busters'. Based on this strategy, the goal is to consistently introduce fresh, new titles that are not limited to specific genres.
