A game with a similar playstyle to PowerWash Simulator, where you listen to customers' everyday stories like in Coffee Talk, has been released on Steam.

 

Uraga released 'Tattoo Removal Simulator' on Steam on the 2nd. The game tasks players with becoming a professional tattoo removal specialist and managing a workshop in the city. Players must tidy up markings and text etched onto skin while listening to the stories of customers who carry various experiences and memories.

 

The core gameplay, akin to PowerWash Simulator, involves using the right tools to cleanly remove tattooed areas. Players need to meticulously erase diverse tattoo designs from different body parts and maintain the skin's condition to achieve high satisfaction ratings. Unlike cleaning a house or car, tattoo removal directly involves a person's pain; thus, successfully removing tattoos with minimal discomfort will earn players high star ratings.

The game modes are broadly divided into Career, Casual, and Story modes. Career mode involves slowly building your reputation by taking in customers at your own shop. Casual mode allows for free removal sessions with random clients, while Story mode lets you delve into the narratives behind various customers' tattoos within the studio. Furthermore, the ability to select targets makes it playable in VR mode.

 

As of 4 PM on the 2nd, Tattoo Removal Simulator holds a 'Mixed' user review rating (58% positive out of 12 reviews). Players who left positive feedback praised the relaxed tempo and the game's ability to convey compelling, story-rich tattoos reminiscent of real life. Conversely, those who gave negative reviews pointed out issues with stability and overall polish, citing problems like save errors and optimisation challenges.

Meanwhile, Tattoo Removal Simulator does not currently support Korean. Uraga stated, "We are regularly monitoring the wishlist registration metrics, which indicate interest from Korean users." They added, "Depending on these figures, we will prioritise considering Korean language translation in the future."
