Capcom dropped this little nugget of news on the 8th while outlining their future vision for the Monster Hunter franchise. This figure, which includes the combined 'Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition' bundle, cements its status as a massive global hit.

It feels like yesterday, but Monster Hunter World launched in January 2018, racking up 5 million copies in just three days, and it remains the best-selling Capcom title of 2024. Not to be outdone, its expansion, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, released in September 2019, has also clocked in an impressive 16 million sales on its own.

To put things into perspective, the entire Monster Hunter IP has amassed a staggering 127 million units sold as of March 31, 2026. Following the success of World, Monster Hunter Rise has pushed 18.6 million units, while Monster Hunter Wilds has achieved 11.4 million sales. Cheers to that.
