You've got 'Treasure Chests' spilling out steel and Dragon Gold, while 'Ancient Tomes, Lost Letters, and Rare Ores' are tucked away to boost your character's stats via the Academic Archive. But today, we're focusing on 'Rare Wildlife' and 'Rare Monsters'—your primary hunting grounds for the materials needed to snag those fancy outfits and horse tack.

Outfits are available from the 'Outfit Artisan'

You'll find an Outfit Artisan in every major territory ready to sell you bridles, saddles, and outfits. To clarify, bridles and saddles are gear for your mount. Bridles give your speed and acceleration a cheeky bump, while saddles beef up your mount’s stamina and fall gauge. As for the outfits? Purely for show, mate.

You can only equip one bridle and one saddle per mount. If you’re just chasing stats, there’s no need to go overboard. However, if you’re looking to complete your collection for a legendary mount later on, I’d suggest buying the lot. You'll need to hoard 40 'Sturdy Hides,' 27 'Lustrous Horns,' and 27 'Glossy White Hides' to get it done.

Bagging Bears for Sturdy Hides

To get those Sturdy Hides, you’ll need to hunt the 'Rare Monsters' dotted around the map. They might be labeled as 'Rare Monsters' in the UI, but let’s call a spade a spade: they’re just bears. They pack a punch similar to an elite monster at your current world difficulty, but since they’re beasts, you don’t have to worry about them landing any devastating special attacks.

You can easily spot them by heading to the KookminTree map database, clearing the markers, and ticking only 'Rare Monsters.' There are eight locations in total, and each kill nets you five Sturdy Hides. Just a heads-up: most bears don't respawn once downed, but the two in the Stormlands region make a comeback every day at 9:00 AM.

Hunting Deer for Horns and Hides

For those Lustrous Horns, you’ll need to target Albino Stags, while the Glossy White Hides come from Albino Does. Both are tagged as 'Rare Wildlife.' Be warned: they spook easily, so you'll want to take them down from a distance using your secondary weapon. Unlike the bears, one well-placed shot is all it takes.

Again, use the KookminTree map database and filter by 'Rare Wildlife' to track them down. With 27 of each type scattered about, they don't respawn, so you’ll need to hunt every single one if you’re planning to buy out the Artisan’s stock.
