The 'Sol: Enchant' Squad Mode is a rather clever bit of kit that lets you juggle multiple characters simultaneously. It is remarkably efficient, and frankly, you would be mad not to use it. But when and how can you actually get stuck in? And why on earth should you be bothered to raise multiple characters in the first place? Q. What exactly is Squad Mode?
A. It is a mode available after hitting level 40 that allows you to level up multiple characters on your account at once.

Once you have reached level 40 with at least one character, Squad Mode unlocks, allowing for simultaneous progression. By clicking the Squad Mode icon on the left of the main screen, you can summon your other account characters, letting both be logged in and hunting at the same time. You can also swap between them instantly without the faff of logging out or navigating menus.

Just keep in mind that auto-hunting via Squad Mode is restricted until you reach the [14. Dungeon of Despair] region or higher. My advice? Get your main character to level 40, set them to auto-hunt, and then take manual control of your alt to push through the main quest until you hit chapter 14. Once you’re there, your alt can happily auto-hunt in the Dungeon of Despair too.

You can even have both characters party up, and the summon feature lets you pull your active character right to your current location. However, given the level gaps, I’d suggest keeping them in different hunting grounds suited to their respective levels rather than forcing them into the same spot.

Q. Why should I bother leveling multiple characters with Squad Mode?
A. You share a warehouse, making it a doddle to transfer items, consumables, and Nine between characters.

The reason is simple: if you’re leveling two characters at once, you’re essentially doubling your haul of Nine, gear, and consumables. If you treat your alt as a support unit for your main, you can transfer heaps of useful supplies—think food, Speed Elixirs, Purification Water, Potential Fragments, crafting materials, scrolls, and Nine. It’s a brilliant way to save a fortune on your main’s resource expenditure.

Furthermore, you can claim most rewards—like main quests, events, missions, achievements, and level-up milestones—twice over. You can either move these rewards to your main or use items for collection entries. While God Armors and Spirit items are shared across your account, remember that each item can only be equipped by one character at a time. If you’ve only got one Hero-grade God Armor, you’ll have to choose your favourite child to wear it.

Q. Which job is best for an alt character?
A. I’d recommend going with a Ranger or a Knight.

While it depends on your playstyle, your alt is almost certainly going to end up as a glorified helper. You don’t want to sink too much investment into them; they just need to survive in their respective hunting zones. On that basis, Ranger and Knight are the standout choices. Mages, with their reliance on AoE skills, can feel a bit fiddly to manage when you aren’t pouring stats into them.

Finally, for skill setups: for Rangers, stick with Flare Shot and Inferno Rain. For Knights, go with Smash I, Smash II, Full Smash I, and Dash Shock I. A cheeky tip for saving Nine on your alt: skip Dash Shock I on the Knight. As for consumables, stick to just the Acceleration Potion and hoard the rest of your stash and scrolls for your main.
