Netmarble is injecting some seasonal flair into The King of Fighters AFK with the addition of the Legendary Seasonal Fighter, 'Mai Shiranui (Aqua Splash)'.

Designed with a summer aesthetic in mind, Mai Shiranui (Aqua Splash) joins the roster as a Rush Synergy fighter. Expect plenty of flashy, fan-based combat and the kind of charm that has kept Mai Shiranui a fan favourite for decades.

You can attempt to add this fighter to your collection via the pick-up event running until July 22, which coincides with a broader rate-up event for other Rush Synergy fighters.

From July 20 to July 28, the game introduces a new mini-game dubbed 'Kensou's Dumpling Delivery'. It is a swing-action mini-game where the objective is to deliver dumplings while navigating ropes, with daily rewards up for grabs.

The summer festivities continue with several events: the Lucky Elpie event (July 13–17) features the Legendary Supporter 'Leni Creston', while the Splashy Vacation event (July 16–29) introduces the Legendary Pets 'Umine' and 'Bellybear'. Furthermore, from July 16 to August 19, the 'Hot Summer! Attendance Book' offers various goodies, including Origin, DNA 5-Selection Boxes, and a ticket to choose a Legendary Fighter from the latest seasonal roster.
