‘Game of Thrones: Kingsroad’ Faction Hideouts are your daily bread and butter for snagging gear and polishing materials. It’s a bit of a grind, but since you might just stumble upon Legendary-grade gear, many players religiously clear every single chest in sight. They’ve even coined a term for it: the 'box run'.

If you’ve already got a decent hoard of resources, you’re probably looking to trim the fat. The trick is to sprint straight for the primary equipment chests and call it a day. Today, we’re showing you how to shave off precious time in the 'Fortress of Pain' and 'Ravensrock Fortress' by taking the shortcut.

Each hideout only spawns two primary equipment chests.

In Faction Hideouts, identifying your loot is simple: check the icon above the chest. Those marked with an icon are your primary equipment chests, and they should be your top priority given the higher-tier gear they offer. Anything without an icon is just filler, offering lower-grade gear and materials that you can largely ignore.

The game chooses from three potential spawn points for these primary chests per hideout, but here’s the catch: only two will actually appear after the daily reset. You’ll need to keep an eye on all three points every time you run the place to ensure you don’t leave the goods behind.

Clearing the objectives is non-negotiable.

Every Faction Hideout comes with two primary objectives and one core objective. You can safely ignore the bonus objective unless you’re burning RP for extra loot. However, you must finish the two primary objectives to 'complete' the hideout. If you don't cross that finish line, the chests won't respawn the next day.

As a quick tip, for all Faction Hideouts in the Stormlands region, the primary objectives are identical: take down the final boss and eliminate two Elite-grade enemies. Make sure you hunt down at least two of those Elites lurking in the corridors.

Nail the first run perfectly.

During your first foray into a Faction Hideout, you’ll find doors locked and ladders hoisted high. You must explore every path, unlock those doors, and drop those ladders. It’s a bit of a chore, but it’s the only way to ensure your future runs are quick and efficient.
