Krafton is set to host Circuit 3 of the PUBG Global Series (PGS), the global esports tournament for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, starting on the 5th. As the first major global professional team tournament of the second half of the year, this circuit connects three distinct series into one ranking system, where performance in each tournament is cumulatively reflected in the circuit standings. The event will be held in Shanghai, China, over three weeks.

The competition is divided into PGS 7, PGS 8, and PGS 9. PGS 7 will run from the 5th to the 9th, determining the initial rankings for the participating teams. PGS 8 will take place from the 13th to the 16th, where teams will have the opportunity to improve their standings based on their previous performance. The final series, PGS 9, will be held from the 20th to the 23rd, where the top 16 teams, based on the cumulative results of the previous two series, will compete for the championship in the finals.

A total of 24 teams will participate, consisting of 12 global partner teams and 12 teams that qualified through regional series. The participating teams include Twisted Minds, Virtus.pro, Natus Vincere, Team Falcons, 17 Gaming, Four Angry Men, DN SOOPers, Gen.G, and T1. The total prize pool is $500,000 (approximately 690 million KRW).

The previously held Circuit 2 surpassed 880,000 in peak concurrent viewership across the three series combined, with a total watch time of 7,106,564 hours. Starting with this circuit, the race for qualification to the PUBG Global Championship (PGC), the top-tier international professional team tournament at the end of the year, will begin in earnest. Points earned at the recently concluded Esports World Cup (EWC) will also be reflected in the PGC qualification path.

The matches will be broadcast on the official PUBG esports YouTube channel, SOOP, and Chzzk.
