The qualifiers for the Southeast Asia and Other Asia regions of Summoners War World Arena Championship 2026 (SWC2026), Com2uS's global esports tournament, have concluded, naming the four players who will advance to the Asia-Pacific Cup.

Com2uS wrapped up the representative selection matches for the Southeast Asia and Other Asia regions over the course of August 22 and 23. Each match followed a best-of-five, double-elimination format, with participants fiercely competing for the two tickets to the main tournament allocated to each region.

In the Southeast Asia qualifier held on August 22, 'GLE' and 'YEONHONG-187' secured their spots. The super rookie 'GLE' maintained a winning streak, defeating 'NICKCLAS' in the quarterfinals and 'PETEXCLAS' in the semifinals, both with a score of 3-1. GLE then took first place in the group by beating the former world champion 'PU' 3-1 in the finals. The veteran 'YEONHONG-187' reached the finals after two consecutive wins in the losers' bracket. YEONHONG-187 successfully exacted revenge on PU, who had dealt YEONHONG-187 a defeat in both last year's qualifier and the winners' bracket earlier that day, by winning 3-1 to confirm a place in the main event on the fourth attempt.

The following day, on August 23, the Other Asia qualifier saw 'YINHONG' and 'ERIC.B' join the main event. YINHONG, returning to the SWC stage for the first time since 2024, advanced to the finals after defeating 'FRANK' and 'LAVAR' in succession. YINHONG secured the top spot in the group after a full-set thriller against ERIC.B. The commentator-turned-player ERIC.B, who previously reached the SWC2022 Asia-Pacific Cup, displayed seasoned gameplay. ERIC.B claimed the final ticket by crushing the newcomer 'LAVAR' 3-0, who had previously eliminated the SWC2021 champion 'DILIGENT-YC' in the losers' bracket final.

Meanwhile, the Americas regional qualifiers also kicked off during the same period. On August 23 and 24, four players—'JIWOOFAN', 'COISO', 'SAPPYYY', and 'THOMPSIN'—emerged from the winners' bracket matches to secure their positions in the Americas Cup bracket.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, SWC intends to finalize the lineup for the main tournament through online qualifiers worldwide by the end of this month. Selected players will take to the stage for offline regional cups starting in September, and the survivors will compete for the 10th world championship title at the World Finals held in Seoul, South Korea, this November.
