Pearl Abyss kicked off the 20% discount for Crimson Desert on August 25. Things got rolling on PS5 and Mac right at midnight on August 25, while Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Xbox Series X/S joined the party at 9 AM on the same day. Naturally, the closing times vary by platform, because why make things simple? Steam, the Epic Games Store, and PS5 sales wrap up at 11:59 PM on September 9, whereas Xbox Series X/S and Mac keep the discount going until midnight on September 10. Over on Steam, for instance, you can grab Crimson Desert for 63,840 KRW, down 20% from its usual 79,800 KRW tag.

As you might remember, Crimson Desert landed on PC and consoles on March 20. Set across the sprawling continent of Pywel, it is an open-world action-adventure following the tale of Kliff, the leader of the Greymane Mercenary团. While early days saw quite a bit of chatter pointing out awkward controls and quality-of-life hiccups, the sheer scale of the open world and the endless content drew plenty of praise. Through steady patches, Pearl Abyss smoothed out the rough edges and rolled out fresh content, successfully turning the tide on any initial grumbles.

Building on that solid momentum, the developer crossed the six million global sales mark in roughly three months. At present, Pearl Abyss is hard at work crafting a Crimson Desert DLC with eyes on a release within the year, alongside a Nintendo Switch 2 version targeted for the first half.
