Teamfight Tactics, affectionately known as TFT, has officially landed its brand-new Set, 'Mystic Forest', onto the PC live servers on August 26. This fresh drop comes after about a month of valuable feedback collected from the Public Beta Environment (PBE), and yes, Unreal Engine has made its historic debut for select content here. The mobile version of Teamfight Tactics is scheduled to receive the Unreal Engine upgrade sequentially following the PC update.

In this latest set, every time you reroll the shop twice, you will encounter a brand-new mechanic called 'Guardian Spirits'. These spirits dish out one-off combat buffs or XP boosts, packing a serious punch in the late game to totally shake up the scoreboard. Alongside this, you can dive headfirst into nature-themed traits like 'Canyon Beasts' featuring jungle monsters like the 'Elder Dragon' as actual units, and 'Swiftfoot', which summons a 'Big Furry Friend' and lets your units hitch a ride. Plus, starting on August 27, cosmetic goodies such as the 'Prestige Chibi Immortal Hero Shyvana', equipped with a dynamic transformation system, will be waiting for you in the game.

To celebrate the new set, a nationwide amateur tournament has also been lined up. The 'World Class National Amateur Tournament', hosted by Level.gg, kept its registration open through the official Level.gg website until August 26.

The tournament preliminaries will run across two days on August 29 and August 30, with the grand finals set for September 5, where the top eight players will battle it out for a total prize pool of 10,000,000 won. The players who secure the ultimate 1st and 2nd places will walk away not just with the cash, but also with a ticket straight to Day 3 of the professional circuit 'Tactician's Trials'.
