The Korea Arcade Game Industry Association, alongside member companies of youth game provision businesses nationwide, is launching a voluntary campaign to foster a healthy gaming culture and establish proper business order.

First, only genuine prizes such as toys, stationery, and daily necessities with a consumer price of within 10,000 KRW can be provided, and business officials must not deliver them directly, but rather through the payout device inside the game machine. Prize exchange, mediation of exchange, repurchase, and exchange for other goods are strictly prohibited, and items other than prizes must not be displayed or stored so as to avoid being mistaken for prizes.

Operating hours are from 9 AM to midnight, and the hours accessible to youths are from 9 AM to 10 PM. The registration certificate (or reporting certificate) must be attached in a place easily visible to visitors, and essential guide materials including operating hours, youth access hours, prohibition of pornography and gambling/speculative acts, and prize handling standards must be posted in accordance with standard criteria (width 50cm × height 50cm or more) to inform relevant information.

Illegal modified or altered games that have not received a rating classification from the Game Rating and Administration Committee or that differ from the rated contents must not be operated. Essential labeling items such as the name of the manufacturer/distributor, rating, and game content information must be attached to all game machines.

Yoon Dae-joo, president of the Korea Arcade Game Industry Association, stated, "Beyond simply complying with legal obligations, we will thoroughly block illegal and speculative elements through continuous voluntary purification and improvement of the youth game center operating environment," adding, "Based on this, we will create a healthy family leisure space that anyone can visit with peace of mind and drive the development of the arcade game industry."
