The Korea Game Law and Policy Association is set to host its 23rd regular academic seminar on November 14th, starting at 1 PM at the Busan BEXCO Convention Hall, Room 201—coinciding with the G-Star festivities.

Under the theme of 'Game Industry and Corporate Compliance,' this seminar is hosted by the Korea Game Law and Policy Association, with support from the Korea Association of Game Industry and the Korea Game Media Association.

Academics, legal experts, and industry veterans will gather to analyze the legal risks facing game companies and discuss practical strategies for building proactive compliance frameworks.

The opening ceremony will be helmed by Vice President Lee Seung-chul, featuring an opening address from Association President Hwang Sung-ki, followed by congratulatory remarks from Cho Young-ki, Chairman of the Korea Association of Game Industry, and Lee Taek-soo, Chairman of the Korea Game Media Association.

In Part 1, focusing on commercial law, attorney Kim Ji-wook of Bae, Kim & Lee LLC will present, with Professor Jeon Sung-min of Gachon University and attorney Yoo Jae-kyu of Bae, Kim & Lee LLC joining the panel discussion.

Part 2 shifts to labor law, led by Professor Kwon Oh-sung of Yonsei University, with contributions from Choi Sung-jin, CEO of the Startup Growth Research Institute, and attorney Park Joong-won of Kim & Chang.

The third session features Professor Seon Ji-won of Hanyang University presenting on data law and personal information protection, supported by discussions from Professor Kim Hyun-gui of Korea Maritime & Ocean University and attorney Lee Yong-min of Yulchon LLC.

The wrap-up panel includes Yang Yong-jin, Head of Legal/Compliance at Kakao Games, Choi Seung-hoon, Policy Director at the Korea Association of Game Industry, and attorney Koo Kyo-woong of Bae, Kim & Lee LLC. The session will be moderated by Professors Lee Jung-hoon of Chung-Ang University and Lee Seung-hoon of Anyang University.

The association has extended an invitation to academics, industry insiders, policy makers, and the general public who are keen on exploring realistic alternatives and future directions for the sustainability of game industry policy and legislation.
