On the 25th, Joycity announced that it has released a developer video on its official YouTube channel to recruit participants for the closed beta test (CBT) of its upcoming competitive football game, 'Freestyle Football 2', which is currently being developed by its subsidiary, URE.

In the video, URE CEO Kim Myung-soo introduces 'Freestyle Football 2' and conveys the game's unique, free-spirited football atmosphere. CEO Kim emphasized that the game adopts a structure where monetization elements do not affect match outcomes, ensuring a fair competitive environment where victory depends solely on the user's skill and tactics.

The video showcases upgraded graphics powered by Unreal Engine 5, along with 5v5 real-time match scenes that highlight each character's unique skills and tactical movements.

Along with the video release, Joycity has begun recruiting participants for the closed beta test scheduled for next January. Interested users can apply via the official website. This test is designed to verify core gameplay elements, including match stability, character balance, and controls, for a global audience. The game is targeting a simultaneous launch on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 platforms in the first half of 2026.
