Up until last year, Steam’s Autumn Sale was held in late November to align with the US Black Friday season. However, this year it was held in late September, likely to space it out from the Summer Sale, leaving a void in late November. Steam has now stepped in to run its own Black Friday sale starting from the 25th.

This Black Friday event seems to be an unofficial affair, as it was not included in Steam’s previously announced 2025 calendar of sales and festivals. It appears Valve is simply reacting to the market, as major publishers like Konami, Bethesda, Warner Bros. Games, and IO Interactive had already begun their own discounts to align with the actual Black Friday season.

The storefront is packed with titles released this year. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is 30% off, while Dying Light: The Beast and Silent Hill f have both seen their first-ever discounts at 20% off. Others have increased their discount rates: Doom: The Dark Ages is at 50% off, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered at 33%, and Blue Prince at 34%.

Beyond those, you will find hefty price drops on the likes of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Silent Hill 2, Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut, Dave the Diver, God of War Ragnarök, RimWorld, Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, and Diablo IV. The Black Friday sale will run until December 1st.

Meanwhile, in the global top sellers list, Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive has jumped to 3rd place following its official launch. The new medieval action RPG 'Of Ash and Steel' has also managed to enter the top 10, while many games currently on sale, such as Doom: The Dark Ages and Red Dead Redemption 2, have taken over the rankings.

Looking at the top 20 for daily peak Concurrent Players, Where Winds Meet has surged to 5th place with 202,528 players, edging out Battlefield 6. Apex Legends has slipped to 8th with 178,943 players—a steeper drop than Delta Force—though its numbers are finally stabilising, and user sentiment is seeing a gradual recovery.
