The Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) concluded its 2025 home-based monitoring program for self-rated games on the 2nd, holding a closing ceremony at the Busan Film Industry Center conference hall.

Now in its 11th year, the home-based monitoring team is a citizen-participation initiative launched in 2015 to verify the appropriateness of age ratings for games self-classified by app market operators such as Google and Apple. The team is primarily composed of individuals with disabilities and those re-entering the workforce.

The monitoring team, which launched in April with approximately 200 members, audited 117,000 games this year. Based on the monitoring results, the GRAC re-evaluated the appropriateness of the ratings and took necessary follow-up actions. It is expected that administrative measures will be taken against approximately 7,000 improperly rated games by the end of December.

Participants who served on the monitoring team shared their thoughts, stating, "I felt a great sense of accomplishment in contributing to public value beyond personal enjoyment through games," and "Discussing games became a topic of conversation within my family, which broadened our communication and helped us form new common ground."

GRAC Chairman Seo Tae-geon, who attended the closing ceremony, said, "I am grateful to the monitoring team members for their efforts in protecting youth and fostering a healthy gaming culture in a rapidly changing industry environment, and I ask for continued interest and participation in next year's monitoring program."
